If you’ve ever questioned whether or not you are too “nice” read this book. It’s the ultimate collection of stories proving that “nice guys (don’t always) finish last”. Of course, the first few chapters in I thought “Yeah, sure, well this all works great for white guys, but what about minorities”. I should’ve known – Adam Grant covered this subject well. And I also thought “But what about giving TOO much” since I’m one of those selfless givers that will give to the point where it’s self-detrimental. He covers that too. This was exactly the book I needed to read right now to cement the idea that being generous will always pay back 1,000 fold back to you in life – so don’t be afraid to go through life being a Giver.
